How to Use the Daily Drill Run Limit

The app allows three preset drill runs per UTC day. Recall, Attention, and Settle share that allowance. Choose a preset, check its sound pattern, and start with low system volume. The allowance resets at midnight UTC, which may fall at a different hour where you live.

Read the allowance as one shared count

Think of the daily allowance as three spaces shared by the drill menu. It does not provide three Recall runs plus three Attention runs plus three Settle runs. For example, one run of each preset uses the full daily allowance. Three runs of a single preset also use the full allowance. Choose according to the sound pattern you want to operate. The preset names identify app options; they do not promise a particular response from a dog. Reaching the daily cap means waiting for the next UTC day before starting another preset drill.

  • Count all preset drill selections together.
  • Review a pattern before spending a run on it.
  • Treat the limit as an app rule, not a suggested practice schedule.

Compare the three fixed patterns

Recall plays an 8,000 Hz tone for 0.8 seconds, with a three-second gap between repetitions, repeated three times. Attention plays a 12,000 Hz tone for 0.3 seconds, pauses for 1.5 seconds, then plays for 1.2 seconds. Settle plays a 4,000 Hz tone for two seconds. These are fixed preset drills. There are no custom cue sequences, macros, or user-created timers to add to them. Read the timing as a description of playback. It is not an instruction about what a dog should do during a tone or pause.

  • Recall: three short tones with gaps.
  • Attention: a short tone followed by a longer tone.
  • Settle: one two-second tone.

Use UTC when checking the next day

The reset follows midnight UTC rather than midnight on your local clock. If the allowance still appears used after your local date changes, compare your local time with UTC. A phone's date display alone does not tell you whether the app's daily boundary has passed. Keep the distinction simple: the calendar day used for the allowance is the UTC day. Do not assume that closing a page, reopening the app, or selecting another drill creates another daily allocation. All three presets remain part of the same daily total.

Keep playback controls and reaction records separate

Before a run, lower system volume and keep the speaker away from ears. The software gain starts at 10% and is capped at 25%, but system volume also affects playback. Stop if the sound causes discomfort. Dogs vary, and a frequency value does not prove what a speaker can reproduce. Escape stops sound when you are not typing. The app also stops sound when the tab is hidden or audio is interrupted. Reaction checks use a four-second burst followed by reacted or noReaction. Their last three dated outcomes are stored locally and can be cleared; they are not a drill journal.

      1. Open the drill choices and read the shared allowance before choosing a preset.
      2. Compare the frequency, tone length, and gaps for the pattern you want to play.
      3. Set system volume low, keep the speaker away from ears, and start the selected run.
      4. After three total runs, wait until the next midnight UTC for the daily reset.
Can I use three runs of every preset each day?

No. The daily total is three across Recall, Attention, and Settle. Any mix of those presets uses the same allowance.

Does the daily allowance mean I should use all three runs?

No. It is a usage cap. You can leave runs unused, and the app makes no promise about training results.

      Can I change a drill's timing?

The three drill patterns have fixed timing. The app does not include custom drill sequences or editable timers.
