How to Record and Clear a Reaction Outcome

After the four-second reaction burst, choose reacted or noReaction to save your observation. Review the local history for the last three dated outcomes. Use the clear action when you want to remove that history. These entries are a small record of your selections, with no account or upload required.

Make the selection after the burst

The recording flow follows a four-second reaction burst. Once that interval finishes, choose the label that matches what you observed. Reacted records an observed reaction. NoReaction records that you did not see one. Neither option asks you to explain the behavior. There is no need to turn uncertainty into a stronger conclusion. A dated entry can show which outcome you selected, but it cannot establish whether the sound caused a movement or whether the dog heard a particular frequency.

  • Watch the burst before choosing an outcome.
  • Use the label that most closely describes your observation.
  • Keep claims about causes separate from the saved selection.

Read the three-entry history

The app saves the last three dated outcomes. Treat this as a short recent record rather than a complete archive. As you record further attempts, older outcomes fall outside the three-entry limit. Read each entry with its date so that separate attempts do not blur together. Do not assume that the record contains sound settings, written notes, or an explanation of the response. The app has no journal. Its outcome history has a narrower purpose: retaining a few recent selections for you to review.

  • Count on a maximum of three saved outcomes.
  • Use the dates to distinguish the recorded attempts.
  • Do not expect a permanent record of every previous check.

Keep storage and privacy expectations clear

Outcome history is saved locally. There are no accounts, uploads, advertisements, or telemetry, and the app does not use a microphone. Hosting metadata still exists, so those features do not mean that visiting the site leaves no server information. Local history should not be treated as an account backup or a shared record across devices. Sharing an offline text lesson is a separate feature; it does not make reaction entries into shareable reports. After an initial successful cache, the installed web app can work offline, but offline availability is not guaranteed in every browser.

  • Review outcomes on the device where you recorded them.
  • Do not rely on an account to recover local entries.
  • Keep lesson sharing separate from reaction history.

Clear the record and prepare any later attempt

Use the clear action when you want the saved outcomes removed. Check the history afterward to see that the entries are gone. Clearing history does not change what happened during earlier playback, and it does not turn a later attempt into a controlled comparison. Before playing again, lower system volume and check the visible sound setting. Keep the speaker away from ears. The generated frequency is not a verified measurement of speaker output, and many small speakers cannot reproduce ultrasonic tones. Stop if the sound is uncomfortable. Dogs vary, so a run of matching labels is still only a record of your observations.

  • Read any entries you still need before clearing them.
  • Use the clear action deliberately when removing the history.
  • Check volume and speaker position before starting another burst.
  1. Complete the reaction burst while watching for an observable response.
  2. Choose reacted or noReaction to record the attempt.
  3. Open the local outcome history and review the date beside the saved selection.
  4. Use the clear action when you want to remove the stored entries, then check the history again.
Can I add a written explanation to an outcome?

The app does not include a journal. Its history stores the last three dated outcomes, so use the labels as brief observations without expecting a notes field.

Does clearing history reset the daily drill allowance?

Treat the two controls separately. The three preset drills share a total allowance of three runs per day, reset by UTC. Clearing reaction outcomes is a history action, not a drill reset.

Does a series of reacted entries prove a setting is effective?

No. Those entries show your selections for recent attempts. They do not verify speaker response, measure hearing, explain behavior, or promise a result from future playback.
