Match the stop action to the playback mode

The app applies a 10 ms cosine fade at playback edges. This is a short transition, not a countdown that you need to wait through. If anything feels uncomfortable, stop immediately and move the speaker away from ears.

When you return to the page, check the controls before another press. Lower system volume before restarting through a different output. The absence of sound alone cannot confirm a stop, particularly at high frequencies that your speaker may not reproduce.

Tell a pause from a completed sequence
Pulse and warble are playback patterns, so a change in sound is not a reliable stop signal. Preset drills also contain planned timing. Recall uses 8000 Hz for 0.8 seconds, with a 3-second gap, repeated three times. To stop the whistle, release the control during hold playback or press that control again during toggle playback. Settle uses 4000 Hz for 2 seconds. A drill's name does not promise a response from a dog. The separate reaction check uses a four-second burst followed by reacted or noReaction choices. Those choices record an observation; do not treat them as substitutes for a playback stop command.
